Gender and corruption

Abstract

This essay focuses on the relationship between gender and corruption. This is examined with basis on the fact that
there is a social stereotype that women are more honest and less corrupt than men, and it is analyzed based on
the feminist theories of equality and difference. Apart from this, research is done into the involvement of women
in politics and the difficulties they face to access positions of power.
