Research projects and undergraduate thesis: a text-based approach

Abstract

This article offers a reflection on the research practice for thesis in undergraduate degree programs. The article
examines the requirements and objectives of the theses, each of the research stages, and the cognitive processes
to carry out the thesis. The article also analyzes the main problems that students have with their theses according
to the experience gathered in the teaching of undergraduate research courses and offers some alternatives to
overcome these difficulties.
